In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
2015 has been a year filled with many up and downs for me. I am equally thankful for the good times as I am for the difficult ones:
This year has been a tremendous time of healing as God has shown me bit by bit all the things He has brought me through over the years that were trials, at the time, yet they have no effect on me any more. These things have made me stronger while also giving me great compassion for people going through similar life struggles. I pray that the Lord will continue to use me to help others.
2015 has been a year of awakening for me. I have come to know my true self and found that I genuinely love who I am. This has caused me to make some changes in my life which have not been all that easy but have been necessary. Some have had a tough time understanding why I am overflowing with happiness. It is because the Lord has shown me two things: there is nothing my God cannot handle and happiness comes from within. No one can steal your happiness nor can they dampen it if you truly love yourself for who God made you to be and you trust in Him.
This may sound a little silly to some but if you’ve ever had doubts of your own self-worth you will understand deeply where I am coming from. These doubts were magnified by many a church sermon or member talking about how unworthy we are as a way of pointing out our need for salvation. I do agree that it is important for us to understand why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins but God felt we were worthy enough to send His Son to the cross. Let us not forget that while God is a god of judgment He is also the embodiment of all that is love. I am always thankful of the wonderful love of the Lord towards mankind.
My immense gratitude for each of you cannot be expressed in words. Some of you have been with me for years now and others have just begun reading my books. My readers are all around the globe and many of you have taken the time to reach out to me. Your messages are treasured. I hope that as we move into the Christmas season that the Lord will bless each of you with an abundance of peace and joy.
Last but certainly not least… I am ever so thankful for the eternal blessing of salvation through Christ and the blessing of God’s Holy Word.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers. May you have a wonderful time filled with both love and gratitude as you celebrate with your friends and families.
